OFFICIAL STATEMENT: The African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) has called on the SA government and global community to condemn Palestinian terror and demand that action is taken against those inciting violence.
The recent wave of Palestinian terror – which has claimed the lives of 37 victims and wounded hundreds over the course of the past nine months – erupted as a result of incitement to do violence by the Palestinian Authority (PA), the Hamas terror organization and the Islamic movement.
Last week a Palestinian terrorist armed with a knife infiltrated the Israeli community of Kiryat Arba and butchered a 13 year old Israeli girl with US citizenship in her own bedroom while she was asleep.
ACDP MP Cheryllyn Dudley has sent condolences from the ACDP to family, friends and Israelis everywhere on the brutal murder of yet another Israeli on grounds of race and religion: “It is such a tragedy that this hatred and bitterness has claimed not only another life – but the life of a 13 year old girl”.
Incitement like the recent call for the death of Israelis by Sultan Abu Alainin – a member of Fatah’s Central Committee and aide to Palestinian Authority head, Mahmoud Abbas – is diabolical and continues with virtually no outrage or condemnation from the global community. His words were: “Wherever you see an Israeli, slit their throat”.
“This type of incitement seriously undermines progress at a time when many are working on cooperation to develop the region, and not to destroy it. The ACDP Calls on the South African Government and global community to both condemn and demand action be taken against those inciting violence and committing these brutal acts of violence.”
