“In July 2016, a Palestinian Arab gunman murdered Rabbi Miki Mark as he was driving with his family near Hebron. The terrorist sprayed the car with bullets, killing Rabbi Mark and injuring his wife and two of his children. Dr. Ali Shrukh, a Palestinian Arab doctor, arrived at the scene shortly after and immediately provided medical assistance to the wounded members of the Mark family. Because he helped Jews, Dr. Shrukh was fired from his job by the Palestinian Authority and received countless death threats. Dr. Shrukh now lives safely with his family in Israel, where he was granted permanent residency status because of his bravery. This is his story and message of peace.”
